The 5 song EP Eleven Pond~Tonalism is named after the art genre Tonalism, a style used to interpret American landscapes derived from the French Barbizon style, which emphasized mood and shadow.
This EP is released on the 30the anniversary of the original Eleven Pond break up. Some of the songs contain beat loops, drum parts and guitar parts from various DJ's and musicians Jeff has worked with over the years. Some of the songs contain seeds for songs to be recorded in 1989 but were never made.
The song 'Shimmering White Lights' is a good representation of how these songs came together, collections of random pieces from four decades... "Shimmering white lights reflect off beads of sweat" Jeff wrote these words on a cocktail napkin while dancing at a new wave club in 1985. The full poem was written in 1990, the song melody was written in 2009, the full song recorded and released in 2016.

Eleven Pond formed in 1986, released one postpunk/ synth pop/ darkwave LP titled 'Bas Relief' and recorded songs for a second LP titled 'Assemblage'. The band breaks up in 1987, the masters were shelved.
